EV Tuesdays: Week 14

EV Tuesdays: Week 14

Week 14: 8th February 2022

It's that time of week again all you EV fans! Happy Tuesday!

Today is the day you get to have a look at what we have discovered this week. As usual there will be 5 different pieces of exciting electric car goodness including a very useful tip. You can enjoy a You Tube video, find out some news and find out about an event that is coming soon.

So, grab yourself a drink, be it hot or cold depending on what time of day it is, a biscuit or a packet of crisps, open up the 5 links and enjoy.

We'll also be posting these to our blog here (with one extra item!) Twitter, Facebook, Reddit (check out r/evcables subreddit) so get involved and give us any ideas in the comments, they may well get used next week!

Have a great week everyone and happy reading!

1. EV Charging: Auto Futures

How cool would this be....you just talk and it charges!
The Rise of Robotic EV Charging – ROCSYS CEO Crijn Bouman on Scaling up The Business. “You park your vehicle, you press a button – ‘I want to charge’ – and then everything happens automatically. If you want to leave, it’s the other way round. So you press the button – ‘I want to leave’. The robot will disengage and the vehicle can drive away.”

2. EV News: Maidenhead Advertiser

This is not too far from our head office. BCA launches new electric and hybrid vehicle training centre at a Burchetts Green college to equip mechanics with the skills to work on hybrid and electric vehicles.

3. EV Tip: Go Easy On The Heat

Running an EV’s heater, especially at full blast, puts a big drain on battery power. In the winter, dial down the climate control and instead rely on the heated seats and heated steering wheel (if your vehicle is so equipped) to keep things toasty, which uses far less energy. Also, pre-heat your car while it’s plugged in so you can use the climate control less while driving.

4. EV Video: You Tube

Lamborghini is also getting a fully electric car. Of course in the style and with the performance as we know Lamborghini. Lamborghini will first start with hybrid cars and gradually move to fully electric cars.

5. EV Event: Fully Charged Live

The World's No1 Clean Energy & Electric Vehicle Show is returning to Farnborough and is set to be even BIGGER & BETTER than before! Click on the link to grab your tickets before they sell out!
